"It has always been the perception that art galleries are frequented by the elite. Galleries intimidate those who feel they do not know art and therefore are hesitant to step into one. They feel they don't know how to appreciate it. Through my space, I want to start helping the masses learn to accept art without fear, and to make them more aware of the importance of art."

Essence of Kota Baru in batik

Ten years. That was how long Mohd Noor Mahmud took to finish his Kalakotabharu series. Of the 10 years, three and a half were spent producing eight big pieces and another two on the smaller ones, bringing his collection to a total of some 60 pieces.

Ketengahkan nilai hidup Kelantan

Pengamatan terhadap seni pemakaian pakaian masyarakat setempat terutama di Kelantan menjadi ilham pelukis Mohd. Noor Mahmud untuk menampilkan imej batik dalam karya seni tampak.
Berdasarkan pengalaman, dia memanifestasikan pengamatan itu menerusi imej-imej yang sinonim dengan dirinya.
