God is a ‘Designers’ Poster Art’ series
of non-religious design collaborations with artists/ designers
from Africa, Austria, Brazil, China, Denmark, France, Germany,
Hong Kong, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New
Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, The Netherlands, Turkey, United
Kingdom and United States.
This exhibition is dedicated to explores the relationship
between man and god from a different perspective- through
the eyes and ideas of designers around the world. Successfully
launched at the National Art Gallery, Kuala Lumpur, back in
April 2003, Man + God has so far traveled to Penang, Singapore,
New York, Stuttgart Germany and now back to Kuala Lumpur.
This up-dated sequel will be exhibited till 30th June, 2006;
a series of talks conducted by international and local guest
speakers, installations and other art paraphernalia promotions.
These activities aspire to reach a wide audience in Malaysia,
particularly the students and designers of the new generation.
Participating in this art event will gives our young talents
an opportunity and privileged to see the works from top notch
worldwide designers as well as to learn from them.
DESIGN DIALOGUES
There will also be a series of design dialogues held during
the exhibition period. Titled ‘On the road and back
home: visual experiences’, the dialogues gather designers
and artists from Amsterdam, France, Kuala Lumpur, New York
and Singapore to discuss their experiences as visual communicators
in their respective disciplines. Details below:
