DIGITALISATION - a way ahead for art appreciation
by Siti Syameen Md Khalili
One of the reasons fine artists like Vincent Van Gogh and Glaude Monet became so popular is due to the fact that their work is seen by many.
Both experts and the man on the street admire the beauty of the former's Sunflowers and the latter's Waterlily series. While copies have been reproduced in many forms, the original paintings are still worth millions.

ANSTRAK RAFIEE GHANI & HUSIN HOURMAIN
Tulisan: ONLIA MOHD DOM

Starting a REVOLUTION
Izu is on a mission to maket art more accessible to the general public
Compiled by Jacqueline Toyad
"It has always been the perception that art galleries are frequented by the elite. Galleries intimidate those who feel they do not know art and therefore are hesitant to step into one. They feel they don't know how to appreciate it. Through my space, I want to start helping the masses learn to accept art without fear, and to make them more aware of the importance of art."

Creativity in expressing communication woes
By Vivienne Pal
We have forgotten how to be organic in going about things, especially in communicating. We've got the Internet, telephone, e-mail, SMS, the media, but we still make premature and ill judgements, jump to conclusions and have distorted perceptions because we have forgotten the beauty of face-to-face communication."
